Thought of the Week

Sometimes we are taken into troubled waters – not to drown but to be cleansed.

26th June 2017

Dear Parent,

We were blessed with dry weather on Saturday for our Summer Fair and it was lovely to see so many people attend. We had current staff, pupils and parents but were also delighted to see staff, pupils and parents that have moved on!

On behalf of everyone at Branwood I would like to thank you all for your support and hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The Chair of the PTA will soon let us know how much money was raised and the numbers drawn for the raffle.

Rev. Critchlow – St. Andrews Church

Rev. Critchlow came into school and conducted her last assembly at Branwood as she will be moving to Bristol to take up a new post soon. We thanked her for her continued support and wished her well in her new position. I am sure that she will keep in touch and know that the people she will be working with are lucky to have her.

Rev. Lewis also attended this morning and we look forward to continuing our links with St. Andrews Church through her.

Examination Week

Last week our pupils sat their internal examinations. They always work hard but last week were able to keep that going to show us all just how much progress they have made. Staff are currently marking and completing the end of year reports in order to share the outcomes.

Upper School Parents Evening

Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th June are the dates for our upper school parent’s evenings and we look forward to sharing your child’s progress with you.

If you wish to see me I am available on Tuesday so please do not hesitate to come and see me – although I always try to make myself available before and after school if you need to speak to me.

Summer Show

This year’s summer show is on Monday 3rd and Thursday 6th July in order not to clash with Secondary school events for our Form 6 pupils. Tickets are now available so please see Mrs Flynn if you have not yet booked yours.

The full dress rehearsal will be watched by the lower school and local day nursery children on Friday 30th June.

Summer Holiday Club

Mrs Flynn sent out the documentation for the Summer Sports and Holiday Clubs. Please book these in advance in order to gain your place at the reduced rate.

Parking on the Playground

A parent kindly pointed out that the new wooden planters on the edge of the playground are just below most car-parking sensors. Please be careful if parking by the wooden planters.

Have a lovely week!

Kind regards,

Mrs Follett
