Thought of the Week
I never lose, either I win or I learn!
We started the week sharing our thoughts and celebrations for Diwali during this morning’s assembly. We spoke about the core values of spending time with family and friends, being grateful for the things we have and listening to instructions via the tale of Rama and Sita.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the PTA for the fantastic activities the children got to take part in. From seeing the children on Friday and speaking to them today, they thoroughly enjoyed everything – biscuit decorating, party and camp fire. It takes a lot of time to organise and then to support on the day, so thank you very much.
Revision and Exam week
Revision Week – week beginning 31st October
Exam Week – week beginning 7th November
Anti – Bullying Week – 14th November
We are holding an anti-bullying assembly on 15th November and as Friday 18th November is a non-uniform day (bring a filled jar in preparation for the Christmas Fair) we would like to encourage children to wear blue clothing where possible. Blue is the symbolic colour used for anti-bullying and it would be nice to for the school community to come together to support this.
During that week some of our upper school pupils will be looking at our anti-bullying policy and helping to write a pupil friendly version.
We are delighted to welcome Mrs Headd back into school today. She will be working closely with Mrs Hoyle and the KG1 staff to do facilitate a hand over during the next four weeks, ensuring continuity of care and education provision.
Have a lovely week!
