What led you to be a teaching assistant?

I have alays wanted to work with children. I was really pleased when I was offered my first role in education at RMCH Hospital School, which ultimately led me to my role here at Branwood.

What’s the best part of your job?

Watching the children grow more confident throughout the school year.

If you weren’t a teaching assistant, what would you be doing now?

Working with children in some capacity.

What’s your most memorable moment as a teaching assistant?

The parents coming into the classroom together to thank Mrs Houseman and I and hugging us both. It brought a tear to my eye.

How would you like to be remembered by your pupils?

Caring, helpful and fun.

What surprises you about Branwood?

The parents and children always being so friendly and supportive.

What makes you proud of Branwood?

How much we have to offer pupils, and seeing how this helps them develop into individuals.
