Children’s Mental Health Week

On Wednesday 5th February, Pupil Parliament hosted a Children’s Mental Health Week event. Pupils from Form 1 – 6 were invited to join Pupil Parliament in the hall at break time to take part in various activities such as games, colouring, and affirmations. These activities aimed to encourage people to talk to each other, solve problems together, and overcome negative thoughts or feelings. The event ended with a talk about how life can be a rollercoaster and how they must be equipped with the tools to get back up. They suggested reading, music, talking to somebody and playing games.
