Pupil Parliament

Last week the pupils in Form 1-6 held elections to vote for their new Pupil Parliament members.

Our team is growing.  This year, members from last year’s Parliament have been invited to do a second year. They will be joined by two additional class members. This means more pupils will be involved in making decisions about their school. With a larger team, we will be able to achieve more.

The team has grown this year, there are 20 members working together to make a difference. This half-term our focus will be on our Eco-School commitments. We are hoping to achieve another Eco-School award with distinction.

Please see the letter below from our new Prime Minister, Sebastian and his Deputy Prime Minister, Vibha

In our first full Pupil Parliament meeting, we discussed the roles of Prime Minister, Deputy, Secretary, and Press Secretary and accepted our positions, which we were all delighted about! We also discussed an overview of the coming months and each members role and responsibilities.

We are super excited to fully embrace our leadership roles, be the best role models we can be, and support Branwood.

We look forward to sharing updates with you.

Yours faithfully,

Seb and Vibha

Dean and Ava-Grace have been given the responsibility of writing the reports for the Branwood Bee, which they are very excited about. Here is their report for this week.

We had our first Pupil Parliament meeting on Wednesday. We then discussed our timetable, what we achieved last year, and what we can do for this year. We have decided that we will be doing half of the half term focused on Eco School, and the other half focused on Pupil Parliament. We have Pupil Parliament meetings every Wednesday from 10.40-11am.
