Mrs Dickinson

Kindergarten Two Teaching Assistant

NVQ Level Three

What led you to be a teaching assistant?

I always wanted to work with children, ever since a young age. This seemed the perfect job for me and I have no regrets.

What’s the best part of your job?

The children. They say the sweetest, funniest things. They’re honest and hardworking, and I love that.

If you weren’t a teaching assistant, what would you be doing now?

I would probably be working with children in some capacity, as they keep me young. Although, I would like to be a police officer or a midwife for a day.

What’s your most memorable moment as a teaching assistant?

I love seeing children achieve their goals, especially when I know they have worked hard to do so.

How would you like to be remembered by your pupils?

I would like to be remembered as being fair and compassionate and as a person who loves what she does.

What surprises you about Branwood?

How time flies! The last 13 years have flown by. Each year goes faster and faster and before you know it the children in KG1 are in Form 6 and are preparing for secondary school.

What makes you proud of Branwood?

The success our children enjoy. Not just the results the children achieve but the hardworking, well-mannered young people our children grow into.

If you had one word to sum up life at Branwood, what would it be?

Rewarding.
