What led you to be a teacher?
I always loved school and had wonderful teachers. I wanted children to have the experiences I had and so from an early age decided I wanted to be a teacher.
What’s the best part of your job?
Being with the children on their learning journey and seeing their awe and wonder when they discover new things.
If you weren’t a teacher, what would you be doing now?
I think I might have been a school librarian as I have always been an avid reader.
What’s your most memorable moment as a teacher?
Too many to choose one but seeing children begin to read and develop a love of learning makes each day memorable.
How would you like to be remembered by your pupils?
As a teacher who is loving and caring and makes learning fun.
What surprises you about Branwood?
The gifts and the talents of the children and the wonderful support given to the staff by the parents.
What makes you proud of Branwood?
The sense of community and how everyone works together so that all the children can achieve their best.
