Coding

Form 5 had a nice little break from their exam timetable this week, when they started a new unit in their ICT lessons. The children are going to be learning all about coding, up until the Christmas holidays. Today, the children learnt about what a computer bug is and how to debug a programme; they also learnt that the term ‘bug’ came from a malfunctioning calculator at Harvard University in the 1940s; one of the leading engineers, Admiral Grace Hopper, investigated and found an actual moth, which was trapped and disrupting the electronics! Here are some of the children working on some of the activities!
